All packed up and ready for my next adventure. Tomorrow morning I’m taking Amtrak up to Penn Station in NYC and starting my way back home on bike. I’ve never been bike packing before so this will be a new one for me, Im so excited!!
Day 1: Amtrak To NYC and 68 miles from NYC to New Brunswick, NJ
NYC to DC Day 1: 7 mile ride to Union Station, 3.5 hour train ride to NYC and a 68 miles from Manhattan to New Brunswick, NJ. So many stop lights and a little too much industry for my liking. Hoping tomorrow will bring more rural and scenic vistas.

Day 2: 100 miles from New Brunswick, NJ to Wilmington, DE.
Started the day with a very pleasant ride on the D&R Canal (Delaware and Raritan), saw the NJ capital building in Trenton, more gravel on the Delaware Canal Towpath, an obligatory photo with the Rocky statue in Philly, the surprisingly nice and enjoyable river walk in Philly (just recently completed and I highly recommend), some more gravel riding through the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge, the very unpleasant refineries at the PA border with DE, and finally the Northern Delaware Greenway on to Wilmington.
Day 3: 165 Miles from Wilmington DE to Arlington
Yeah, I cant believe I rode from DE to Arlington in one day either. I’m very tired. Not a lot of photos today but I did get a bike ride barn picture of the day .
